Iran’s minister of culture has urged his counterparts in Muslim countries to be the voice of the oppressed Iranians in the world.
Today is the time for the awakened consciences of the field of culture and art of the Muslim World to convey the voice of the oppressed Iran and the resistance of other nations that seek justice to the ears of the world, said Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi in a message issued on Thursday on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In the message, Salehi congratulated the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, the festival of servitude and unity of the Islamic Ummah, and said that during the holy month of Ramadan, Iranians were going through difficult but glorious days under the pressure and cowardly attacks of the Israeli regime and the United States, adding that the brutal aggression still continues.
In this brutal war, innocent women, men and children, including students of a school in Minab, have lost their lives, and residential areas and cultural and historical heritage of Iran have been destroyed; however the people of Iran are still standing and insisting on their faith, dignity and independence.
In such a situation, the historical and moral responsibility of all thinkers, artists, and cultural elites of the Islamic world is even heavier than before, the message read, adding that it is in the fundamental teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that silence in the face of oppression equals to aiding and abetting the oppressor.
The US and Israeli terrorist armies started a war of aggression against Iran on February 28 by assassinating the then leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and massacring 168 children in a school in Minab.
